Terms of Service

Last updated October 12, 2026

These terms cover buying and using Diskwise, a Mac app, and this website. By buying or using Diskwise you agree to them. Questions go to support@diskwise.app.

Buying

Diskwise is free to download, and its first scan is free. Unlocking the rest costs a one-time price shown on this site. Your order is processed by Creem, our reseller and merchant of record, which handles payment, taxes and invoices. Creem’s terms also apply to the purchase itself. After you pay, Creem emails you a receipt with your licence key.

Your licence

Your purchase gives you a personal licence to install and use Diskwise on up to 3 Macs you own or personally use. You turn it on by pasting your licence key into Diskwise. You may not resell, share, rent or redistribute the app or your licence key, or remove its copyright notices. Updates to version 1 are included in the price.

What the app does to your files

Diskwise lists files and folders that can be removed, and removes only what you choose and confirm. Caches and build folders are deleted, because the apps and tools that made them create them again. Other items are moved to the Trash, where you can restore them until you empty it. Please review the list before you clean. Speed fixes such as quitting an app or restarting your Mac only happen when you click them, and an app you quit may lose work it hasn’t saved.

Requirements

Diskwise needs macOS 15 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon. It isn’t notarized by Apple, so macOS asks you to confirm each new version once, the first time you open it.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying. See the refund policy. A refund ends your licence, and we may switch off its key.

No warranty

Diskwise is provided as it is. We work hard to make it safe and accurate, but we can’t promise it will be free of errors or suit every purpose. Keep backups of anything that matters, for example with Time Machine.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about Diskwise is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost profits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date at the top. Changes never take away what you already paid for.
